Broken Age is a point-and-click adventure from Tim Schafer and Double Fine Productions which tells the stories of a young boy and girl leading parallel lives. The girl has been chosen by her village to be sacrificed to a terrible monster--but she decides to fight back. Meanwhile, a boy on a spaceship is living a solitary life under the care of a motherly computer, but he wants to break free to lead adventures and do good in the world. Adventures ensue.

The player can switch between the two characters, trying to help each of them achieve their goals.
In the lower left corner of the screen is the interface toggle. This enables access to the current characters inventory, an icon for the other game character to allow the player to switch their selected character and the icon for the system funtions, like saving and/or quitting the game.
