The Dead Eye Pyramid is part of Vella's Storyline in Broken Age. Here, Vella searches for a way to defeat Mog Chothra.

Move to the right to a small pedestal, and place the Art Piece on it. This will summon Alex from the cryogenic suspension. Talk to Alex for a while, then look at the two items in the diamond slots between the gold triangles. Grab the top piece, and add the Laser Coil to your inventory. Replace it with the Stained Glass Sun. Grab the bottom piece, which will break into pieces, then put the Laser Coil into that area.
